Wipes made from plants, synthetic oils, and water solutions are marketed and sold all over the world. Online retailing, whose backbone is the internet, is thus expected to grow in the near future, boosting global sales of consumer wet wipes.

 Convenience and portability associated with consumer wet wipes packaging are considered to be critical factors influencing their purchases, as compact packaging, such as travel packs, improves portability while lowering the product's overall cost.
